Inspiration for Redemptive Leadership
About
“Mountaintops are for views and inspiration, but fruit is grown in the valleys.” ~Billy Graham
Our Story
Our vision as a company is to inspire leaders to live redemptively. Unfortunately, many leaders trying to influence an organization do not have the time or space to reflect and determine direction. We use coaching to provide mountaintop experiences for leaders to gain clarity, vision, and inspiration for redemptively leading their people and organizations.
Our name, Intaba Coaching, comes from the Xhosa word for mountain, or “intaba.” Our founder, Mark, lived in South Africa for a year in 2004 in support of Living Hope Community Center, a year that would transform his perspective and vision for how to live redemptively. This same heart of using business for good fuels us to coach leaders and our desire to support causes that do the same.
We chose the word “intaba” because coaching sessions are similar to the mountaintop experiences we get while hiking. The hard work is done in the valleys and trails, but without the mountaintop experiences and vision to see where we are going, the valleys become overwhelming. At Intaba, we provide time and space for leaders and entrepreneurs to help them regularly reach the mountaintop, allowing them to regain their inspiration and vision for the journey. We also walk with leaders as a partner and guide to help them develop the next steps for applying their mountaintop visions to their daily valleys.
